bond between mothers and babies is very special”
Forget
boring conventional baby photos! I always like to give my clients
the opportunity for something really special and different. Babies
remain babies for such a little time that it is no surprise that
they are frequent subjects for the studio. The interaction
between a mother and her baby can make a marvellously intimate portrait
– and sometimes father comes too.
Pregnancy
Portraits
Increasingly
often mothers-to-be are coming to the studio, and make a wonderful
subject for a portrait. A pregnant Demi Moore started it, tastefully nude on the cover of
Vanity Fair! Many other famous mothers-to-be have followed her lead
onto the covers of high profile magazines, including supermodel Cindy Crawford, Italian actress Monica Bellucci, and
more recently,
musician, singer and TV presenter Myleene Klass. So if you are pregnant,
why not you as well? I can't guarantee to get you on a magazine cover, but
I can promise that you will have some great, imaginative photos.
Pregnancy is
such a
very special time for a woman, so be proud of your "bump" and celebrate yours with a maternity portrait.
And then perhaps follow it very soon after the birth with a
further session with your newborn baby. Newborns can offer many
opportunities for imaginative photos.
